Meet the Team

  • Andy is an Italian trained chef who studied in Rome, Italy. Committed to the practices of sustainability, he learned the importance of local ingredients and the slow food movement. His goal is to tell a story through his food and to create a sense of community around dining.

    With experiences ranging from restaurants in the Pacific Northwest, from Seattle to the San Juan islands, Andy has developed the skills to prepare seasonal produce in a multitude of settings.

    The Land in Kauai is so richly covered in sunshine and its produce is abundantly nurturing. Andy’s food showcases the raw beauty of these ingredients, his goal being to do as little to them as possible.

  • Sam’s background in yoga and sound healing combined with a lifetime of holistic healing practice gives her a unique approach in the kitchen. She believes that a meal starts with the land on which our food is grown. In season and freshly harvested ingredients are the foundation of a flavorful nourishing meal. She believes that the choice of what we use to fuel ourselves with will affect who we are and how we grow into our healthiest and truest selves.

    Her hunger for knowledge and adventure has led her everywhere from Vietnam to Italy, always exploring cultural traditions to discover new ingredients, health benefits, and culinary practices. Sam received her undergraduate degree in Wine Business Management where she went on to manage one of Washington's top wineries.
